INFRAWIND EURASIA – in short

INFRAWIND was founded on the 13^th of June 2008 in Berlin as an initiative targeting the European-Asian collaboration in the field of renewable energies and smart grids.

A major focus will lie on wind energy and on the German-Chinese cooperation in this sector.

President of this initiative is the State Secretary (retired) Prof. Dr. rer. oec. Dieter Flämig, German infrastructure expert, with international experiences, Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur (qualified engeneer for machine construction and economics, TU Berlin).

Executive vice-president is the Chinese energy expert Dipl.-Ing. Alexander Yu Li, who is one of the pioneers in the German-Chinese collaboration in the wind energy sector and who has initiated one of the first medium-sized wind energy joint ventures with German investment in the People's Republic of China.

The association consists of German and Chinese members, among them high rank Chinese protagonists for the development of wind energy on the Asian continent.

It is accompanied by a board of trustees with current and former members of the elite of economy and state in Europe and Asia.

Chairman of the board of trustees is the former Prime-Minister Dr. h. c. mult. Lothar de Maizière. Vice President is Mr. Klaus-Uwe Benneter, former member of the Deutsche Bundestag and former Secrety General of the German SPD for Gerhard Schröder.

The association was registered in the register of associations of the district council of Berlin-Charlottenburg on the 10th of June 2008.

11/24/2016: The Chinese vice prime minister Liu Yandong and the Chinese minister of science and technology Prof. Dr. Wan Gang have visited Berlin/Germany.

10/13/2016 in Brussels: Green Design International Contribution Award 2016 of the WDGO for the book ”Think further: from the energy turnaround to the society of sustainability”.

The concept and project ”Green Health City” of INFRAWIND EURASIA e.V. was awarded with the ”2015 World Green Design Product Award Silver Prize” of the World Green Design Organization. (20^th May 2015, Yangzhou, China)
